On June 20, 2008 Dan Silvestri, owner of 911 Safety Equipment, graduated from Total Fire Group University. He double majored in Individual and Organizational Documentation to Provide NFPA 1851, 2008 Edition Training to End Users & Individual and Organizational Documentation to Provide NFPA 1851, 2008 Edition Services. Dan Silvestri as well as his employees at 911 Safety Equipment are now certified to work on the following Total Fire Group brand of products:

911 Clean Completes Globe’s Cares Program

Three representatives of 911 Clean, Daniel Silvestri, Alice Taylor and Hasnaa Elhafidi completed received certificates of participation in Globe’s Cares (Cleaning and Repair Evaluation Services) Program this past weekend.
The training is in advanced cleaning and advanced inspection according to 2008 NFPA 1851 edition standards. Globe offers Level 1 Training which covers the following:
- overview of NFPA 1851 standards
- detailed demonstrations on advanced inspections
- discussion on advanced cleaning and advanced repairs
Globe Cares also offers Level 2 Training which covers the following:
- in-depth overview of NFPA 1851 standards
- detailed demonstrations on advanced inspections including complete liner inspection, light test, leakage evaluation test, water penetration test
- detailed demonstrations of advanced cleaning and advanced repairs
- hands-on experience with advanced repairs

PFD Certificate of Merit

The Philadelphia Fire Department presented 911 Safety Equipment with the Certificate of Merit on September 28, 2007 in rocognition of cooperation with fire prevention. The Philadelphia Fire Department has been serving Philadelphia for nearly 265 years.
The organized volunteer firefighting service was launched on December 7, 1736, and served the community with unsung acts of bravery for nearly 135 years. In the late 1860′s, city officials spoke of transforming this volunteer service into a professional fire department to meet the demands of the City’s growth. In December 1870, a council meeting was held and an ordinance was issued to create a professional fire department – and the Philadelphia Fire Department was born.
